The online webinar series on supporting parents and caregivers for South-East Asia and Western Pacific countries was organized to complement the in-person regional meeting for South-East Asia in New Delhi, India. It brought together an even wider array of stakeholders from across 48 countries working in the fields of health, mental health, violence prevention, education, nutrition, social protection, and other sectors. The webinar series was organized by GISP partners and the Asia-Pacific Regional Network for Early Childhood, with funding from USAID.
The first webinar took place on 22 November 2022 and featured an open call for submissions on evidence-based initiatives being implemented in the Asia-Pacific region. A total of eight evidence-based interventions were featured. The second webinar, which took place on 6 December 2022, focused on interagency working groups on specific topics, including: caregiver wellbeing and parenting children with disabilities; parenting interventions to prevent violence; parenting of adolescents; digital solutions for parenting; men’s engagement in parenting; and parenting humanitarian settings.
