The UNICEF Caring for the Caregiver intervention uses simple behaviour change strategies to help parents feel calm, confident, and supported in their caregiving and to build stronger connections with their children and families. The intervention was evaluated in 6 countries and found to be beneficial for caregiver mental health, social support, and parenting stress. We are hosting a 3-part webinar series on the research findings, country reflections, lessons from the CFC training and adaptation across contexts, and considerations for the future. You are invited to register for the first webinar which will focus on presenting the CFC initiative and its relevance, the research findings, and reflections from participating in-country authors. Language interpretation will be available in Arabic, French, and Spanish.

On April 28th, UNICEF, the Van Leer Foundation, and ECDAN will host a webinar to launch the Playbook on Digital Innovation for Supporting Families. The session will explore how digital tools and ecosystems—including AI—can enhance parental wellbeing, strengthen caregiving capacity, and improve access to services. It will present a practical framework to help stakeholders design more inclusive, human-centered, and scalable support systems for families.

Organized by the World Health Organization, Child Health Task Force and the ECD Action Network in support of the Global Initiative to Support Parents and Caregivers. This webinar will explore how the health sector can better support parents and caregivers, from pregnancy through childhood and adolescence, by integrating evidence-based support into routine health services, strengthening health workers’ practices, and fostering coordinated care within and across sectors. Participants will learn: why the health sector matters, what types of support can be provided through health services (e.g., anticipatory guidance, strengthening caregivers’ capacities to care for themselves and their children, information sharing), and how the health sector can work with others to strengthen care pathways and enhance family well-being. Practical tools to make parenting support an integral, sustainable part of health services and examples from Jordan and the United Republic of Tanzania will be shared.

On Apr 1, 2026, a webinar will recap the Global Caregiver Forum and outline next steps to scale universal parenting support worldwide.
