Joint Pledge Urges Global Leaders to Prioritize Needs for Refugee Parents, Caregivers, and Children
As part of the pledge, GISP and the Alliance are commiting to collaborating with national stakeholders across five areas by 2027. This will include: supporting five refugee-hosting countries to help strengthen policies and institutional arrangements around family-strengthening services and caregiving support for both refugee and host communities; hosting a global parenting forum in 2024 to elevate the need for caregiving support; collaborating with global organizations to end violence against children; convening national and subnational regional stakeholders; and facilitating knowledge exchange across sectors.
Let Kids “Take Over” on This World Children’s Day and Beyond
On this World Children’s Day (November 20), we recognize and celebrate the ideas and demands that children have on issues that matter to them. From climate change to education to ending discrimination, we encourage kids to “take over” to inspire us with their actions, show us their solutions, and galvanize support for positive change. As parenting and caregiving advocates, we must create the enabling conditions to make that happen.
